The Bahrain GP will take place on October 30, shifting the Indian GP to December.

The teams, who have been called upon to boycott the race by more than 300,000 people in an online petition, are believed to be against a return to Bahrain.

It would say a lot if they did that.

That regime kills protestor's too, but they're an ally, so it's ok. It seems.

F1 is not a political party.

I am glad there is another extra race at the end of the season.

If the press want to help people get into Zimbabwe and shoot Mugabe.

Problem is he is way too smart for our so called UN as he has made the country worthless so no one can benefit from attacking him.

This World is a greedy hole.

Anyway more F1 to me is great.

I love F1... but F1 is not worth proping up dictatorships or brutial regimes... I was against F1 racing in South Africa and I am against F1 racing in the likes of China and Bahrain... but so long as it is driven by the almighty dollar ethics will have to take a back seat.

Well when you are worth over £2bn I guess money means different things to you... but despite what ever Bernie believes in his reality most of us know the score.

Is it worth having this race? F1 might say its not political, but if the crowd invade the track or worse, are the government police/military going to be all softly softly with the F1 camera crews filming?

The risk to spectators and team personnel is not worth it. Either do not have a race or race else where.

Not competing due to safety concerns is not a political stance!!

Probably an accident and not intentional. In that part of the world they celebrate everything by shooting automatic weapons. So maybe stray bullets.

Us - we celebrate by playing happy music, buying flowers, calling loved ones or even watching Harry Potter movies... stuff like that.

Actually the media reported that it was live fire directed into a crowd of demonstrators that had gathered. I believe the report was on BBC or one of the major international news sites.

Definitely not celebratory gunfire.

Sorry Nomad. Of course it was intentional fire and I didn't mean to take away from it. Personally I don't believe that country deserves a grand prix, and if Saudi Arabia ever gets one, I will stop watching.

See and I thought someone would have used a wand instead of cookies to fix it.
