So Button P3 Alonso P2, I didn't notice who won. But then again I'm not that interested. It was a good race.

Even more disappointing for Button is that he started P2

And for various reasons, it was Button the gentle that pitted to change tires 3 times. While Alonso only twice and Vettel surprisingly only once.
Vettel will have to be given due credit for managing to bring it home that way.
SC periods or not...

To recap:

Hamilton is under investigation for the incident with Maldonado.
Sutil and Kobayashi are under investigation for their incident.
d'Ambrosio is also under investigation for some reason.

Tell me if I am wrong, but didn't Alonso miss a chicane? I mean, is that allowed when they are so close? It was obviously an advantage to do so.

Let's look at this from another perspective.

Imagine, Button P2, Alonso P3.

Button cuts corner, 2 laps later "Car 4 under investigation for cutting corner" flashes on to screen and Button recieves drive thru.

<roflmao>

Well I can have my laugh if I want to.

It's unfortunate that I won't be around for the Canadian GP.

Button HAD to change tyres he had no choice. It's in the rules. Plus, Vettel apparently got his tyres by accident so if RBR hadn't screwed up then he also would have had to pit again.

You mean because of his own/team's less than optimal tyre strategy for this race?

There's the completely undeserved finger.... <nono>

I just want to say thanks for the chat this morning, especially everyone who was around for the duration.

I enjoy chatting on this forum. . . . most of the time . . . and this morning was a good one. Good race, good company. Shame about how it all ended. For the safety cars and injured drivers this weekend.

Pity we didn't have Pasta to keep us human.

Thanks people

I don't really think that is true. No one goes into a race wondering if they can make a set of tryes last 60 laps and it was obvious that Vettel came out with the wrong tyres anyway, that's hardly a strategy.

We had problems at Sebastian's first stop, we had radio issues, and didn't get the tyres on that we wanted.
