Anyone else online? Hoping that Perez is OK after that nasty-looking crash.

Hi SG,
Yes that was a nasty exit he made there.

Same place and way like Rosberg exited this morning, but Perez here with much larger impact on the barrier. Reminds us that this is still a dangerous sport despite whatever safety precautions.

First report suggest though Perez is conscious and talking. <thumbsup>

Hamilton didn't set a time yet here in Q3. With only 2:26 remaining when they open up for quali, it will be a challenge for him.

Hi P1

What a relief that he's concious. Same place Coulthard & JB crashed in the past, as well as Nico this morning.

Wonder if Quali will carry on?

You see Charlie Whiting right now on the phone.
If Perez is 'surviving' they will restart as soon as the barrier is fixed.

Looked like he might have had a problem because he was out of the car. Was rather hoping to see a Macca on pole today.

Hi. I am also here but a tad under the weather. Was celebrating the sale of my house in the Philippines yesterday. Too much cheap booze I am afraid.

Looks like Perez will be ok, but for sure not racing for at least tomorrow.

Not good for Hamilton or Rosberg,

It seems every once in a while a team blows it by leaving that first lap too late. sometimes it rains, sometimes a red flag but whatever, there was no excuse for Mclaren to leave it so late for Hamilton to set a time.

Given that it takes a while for the tyres to heat up, you need two flying laps to set a great time.

So, instead of perhaps being on pole or the front row, Hamilton is now potentially starting in 9th and at best 7th.
