He's beaten his teammate for the last 3 years.

Wurz and Nakajima <think>

well in fairness to Nico he can't help who his team mate are and the Williams has been a poor relation in the last few seasons... although I had higher hope for them in 2009.

"On Thursday, November 30, Häkkinen tested the 2006 McLaren-Mercedes MP4-21 for a full day at the Circuit de Catalunya, in Barcelona, Spain. He completed 79 laps of the circuit, but his fastest lap was three seconds off the pace of regular race drivers."-Wikipedia entry for Mika Hakkinen

Fair enough, Mika probably wasn't very fit, but 3 seconds! This is Schumacher's nemesis we're talking about here, a double world champion who Schumi considered his greatest and most respected rival. Age isn't important in F1, Barrichello and others have proved that, but I reckon a few years out of the car has the potential to slow Schumi down a good deal.

Welcome, wouldyakindly <wave>

Remember that Hakkinen hadn't even set foot in an F1 car - or really any kind of single-seater - since 2001 when he did that test for McLaren. Schumi tested for Ferrari in 2007 and 2008. Myself, I'm not sure how Schumacher will fare as there are no obvious direct comparisons. I'm looking forward to finding out though. <thumbsup>
