I'm not saying it was all Shumi, look who was calling the shots. F1 is a team sport and Shumi had a GREAT team behind him.

Then sir, we are singing from the same hymn sheet.

Schumacher epitomised the team player.. he did whatever was asked of him and always praised his team for any success he had.

He was a team player because everyone was behind him, and it's hard to argue it wasn't deserved.

Ferrari 2000-2004 were a great example of every one working in unison toward a common goal. Of course it helps when you have some of the best minds F1, Ross Braun, Rory Burn, Nigel Stephny (pre-traitor) Chris Dyer, and one of the top drivers of all time. With that line up you not only win titles, you smash records.

Not forgetting the complacent drivers Schumi had in the other red car.

Not to mention Ross Brawn, Rory Byrne and Nigel Stepney. <peek>

Though the latter's chief claim to fame pre-spygate was the fact that Schumi once ran over his foot.

Yes I was too lazy to google proper spelling, except for Brawn, I think that was just a brain fart.

Yeah, but even at full on team equality, I don't think it would have changed any of Shumi's results.

No, but the point was that had other enjoyed the "team superiority" that Schumacher had for the bulk of his time at Ferrari it might very well have changed his results.

And I thought it was a clever deliberate typo, as the Mercedes team and all their colluding members seem to become more and more Germanized for every day we get closer to D launch day, all while Ross is busy attending German language classes these evenings, preparing his German citizenship application and name change to R. von Braun. :)

Yep. Overtaking Nick is difficult if not impossible. I consider him a very complete and strong driver.

I seem to recall overtaking Trulli being so hard that the term 'Trulli train' was invented, and all the teams used him as a factor in their race strategies. I don't recall him winning many races though....
