Massa and Vettel for me. But I won't be suprised if Schumacher is a very strong contender. |

not even worth thinking about for me i'll support the drivers of the same nationality as me, no matter what their quality is, no cherry picking glory support for me, whichever English drivers are on the grid will be the ones I support |

Same as 2009 (minus Kimi) Timo Glock and Heikki Kovalainen, but with the addition of Bruno Senna. |

that is fair enough, but some of us don't have that luxury. that does not make us glory hunters... I supported Hamilton and Vettel and Hulkenberg pre F1 so will continue to do so in F1 regardless of success (or lack of) and I supported Schumacher since his debut so pre success... the fact my choices have proven to be quite successful is pure bonus |

Recently there was this issue of a girl of African/Chinese dissent in Shanghai in a talent contest. She is a really nice girl. Pretty and talented. But the Chinese, including the media, pointed out how she was not really Chinese and was black. There was a lot of prejudice and people are now talking about how prejudiced the Chinese can be (I personally have experienced that prejudice and I hate it). I prefer to look at the intrinsic values of a person. I am Canadian. My good friends are Brits, Ozzies, Americans, Chinese and Indians. I know some very good Iranians too. One of my kids is mixed Canadian (plus British, Hungarian, Ukrainian, Polish, German and whatever - there were a lot of wars back then), and another mixed me plus Filipino, Spanish and whatever else. If you simply prefer Brits, then you will be dissappointed this season for at least two reasons. I hope you are not simply prejudiced. I suspect not. Anyway, Merry Christmas and I mean that sincerely. |

I'm not entirley sure what point you are making mate I support the English drivers because I am English and support people that represent my country at such a level to do well, it's got nothing to do with skin colour, race or religion That doesn't mean to say at all that I don't like people of other nationalities, it means I just want my own countrymen to do well, of course, that isn't really allowed nowadays is it, if your patriotic you must also be a Nationalist according to alot of people, as you have summed up superbly, I find your post both insutling and offensive. Your almost saying that I should be ashamed to support the English drivers, or more broadly, the English national football teams, rugby teams and cricket teams. FACT - It is now a crime to be proud of your own country and support your own countrymen, where did it all go wrong? When did supporting your own country become an offence? I don't get it Maybe if I start supporting Ferrari, Michael Schumacher, Manchester United, the Brazilian national football team and the Aussie cricket team i'd be a better person eh Pasta? |

this woe is me stuff is getting very tiresome... Pasta made his comment in the spirit of openness, he clearly stated he did NOT see your post as an indication of prejudice but questioned why people would choose to support their own exclusively there is a difference, it was neither insulting or offensive. Pasta take no notice, your post was fair and valid. |

I too like people of other nationalities. I am friends with, and work with people of all countries, races, religions, genders, etc. But I am (an American born) British, and hence I'd like to see my fellow countrymen do well. Since there are 2 Brits driving for a British team, it is a logical choice to select that driver/team combination as the main focus of my support for the 2010 season and beyond. Combined with the fact that I've supported McLaren for a while now, it makes even more sense. These are the reasons for my support. Others will select driver/team combinations based on other personal preferences. Incidentally, I'd also like to see the new teams do well, and I was impressed by Kobayashi last season, so I hope he does well too. |

Wrong John, I don't see why I should be accused of prejudice just because I choose to back my own countrymen. I am willing to put aside guarenteed success that the glory supporters have with Schumi to support the lads that are representing my country on the world stage. Glory supporters sum up everything that is wrong with modern sport but amazingly they are better people then those that stick up for their roots and are proud of who they are and where they are from. Very odd |
