Well, he is still infected with the F1 virus so I suspect he'll try to win everything.

Shumi's a mighty competitor, look at the things he has done to win a title, so he will be looking to take the title, or at least be in the running.

Like driving into his opponents. <devil>

Now pass me that tin opener and that can of worms!

<peek>

That's not even remotely funny. For crissakes do we have to suffer all this crap again.

It might not be funny but it's true

I am also greatly dissapointed in your post, the fact of the matter is whether you like it or not cheating has been a significant part of Schumachers past

i support leeds united and back in the 1970's (40 years ago) Leeds were a rough team and got the name "Dirty Leeds" which is still widely used today, especially by Derby County who were a massive rival back then, I actually embrace the name nowadays and like a I said, that was 40 years ago and i'm not stupid enough to deny the team were rough and ready and hurt the opposition, it was a big part of our past and coincided with our most successful period in the clubs history, we can't deny it and would be ignorant and stupid to attempt too

and it's the same for Schumacher, his tactics on Hill and JV have shaped the man and if you can't accept that and keep burying your head in the sand then i feel sorry for you. You can't have it both ways mate, you love to hear about the good but then you abuse people who bring up the bad, which is equally as significant

You can chose to either accept facts or continue to live in the denial that you blatently already do and attack posters that don't feel the same way as you about Schumacher

Maybe it's time you looked at the whole picture rather then the little corner that you are stuck in <thumbsup>

First things first Strad.I can well remember the Leeds team under Don Revie.Big Jack and the "professional foul" so that is not news to me.
That does not alter the fact that he was a very good football player.
They were a bloody good team.I didn't ever think that they were any "dirtier" than any other teams.
Hard players "defininitely" and would do anything to win.
I accepted that and it's part of their history.
It;'s exactly the same with Schumacher.Yes "hard ruthless racer" who follows vthe same philosophy.
I have acknowleded that many times. But as with Leeds I don't visit the football forums and keep dragging up their history.
i am not in denial at all.I am far to old for such childish behaviiour. All I ask is that these historical incidents are not dragged up and rehashed all over again.

Sounds good to me. As long as this includes references to Spygate/Liegate/Crashgate etc as well.

Well said LT.
Exactly that. These incidents are history. They have been done to death and that's the end of them.
They won't be forgoten. But they don't need to be constantly dragged up again.

Having said that, Crashgate will raise it's head again on the 5th Januarary.Thats the date that the French courts will give their decision on Flav's case against the FIA.

Interesting debat. Sorry to expand on that.

I don't think we should compare Leeds with schumacher. I see it in a different perspective. Leeds was a very rough team, maybe a little bit like the top Italian teams of the time playing the "catenacio". Leeds style could and have created injuries but was never life threatening. Schumacher actions were over the "legal" limit and could have cost the life of another driver. He has enjoyed at the time some privileges within the team by having the best designer and the best strategist and perhaps some preferences from the FIA and furthermore a "laquais" as a teammate. And that must have made a large part of F1 fans to react in different ways and manners at the time and even see the champion comeback unwelcomed to a certain degree.

To conclude, I hope Schumacher comes back as a great driver again and a great fighter with humility and respect for others and the rules. Perhaps that could be his goal, to win a WDC clean and neat...

But off course, I hope even Rosberg quick his a... <thumbsup>

Like certain nameless other people I think that Schumi blotted his copybook quite badly. However, all that notwithstanding, he remains one of the greats.

I agree that it becomes tiresome in the extreme to have accusations of cheating thrown every single time his name is mentioned. We all know how each other feel about him, mentioning no names, Stradders, John, and nobody is about to change their mind.

So what's the point? Really it is quite boorish.
