Alonso arrives in Maranello. He asked the Ferrari 458 "to be red, please".
Link The tifossi seem to be happy. http://www.thescuderia.net/forums/showthread.php?p=570676 And now look at what other media are reporting:

Whoever wrote that article has thrown the MS and fighting for a third car as page filler. There is no way there is going to be 3 cars per team when there will most likely be 5 new teams that can barely afford 2. Cannot imagine the big teams (they are dwindling) with 3 cars and the rest barely racing with 2. |

Going by their recent press releases, Ferrari believe (or at least, want to believe) that some of the new teams will not make the grid, or will fold soon after starting in F1. If that's the case then three-car teams will have to become a reality. But given that Schumacher recently ruled out an F1 comeback I don't see him driving a third Ferrari even if there was one available. |

I agree.Firstly, three cars will never happen.Even if the third car cannot score points it can still be used as a rear gunner to protect one of the teams point scoring cars position. If Ferrari, or Mclaren were running three cars and in a possible 1 2 finish and there was lets say a Brawn car that possibly challenge the first two running in fourth place (he would classified as third) the non points scoring third car could effectively prevent him from challenging the first two cars. The whole idea is ridiculous. I can understand Ferrari giving most of the details in the press release, but the part about third cars and Michael Schumacher is pure fanciful speculation. |

Alonso at Maranello gives me a good feeling, as I am sick and tired of seing talent being wasted. Time will tell but this could be the best think that can happen to both parties since the Schumacher area. As far as 3 cars per team subject, not even sure why Montezemello keeps bringing this unworkable option (PR?) |

It seems that MS already was at that moment looking for a wheel. And probably Luca tried his best to have a third card. |

Not according this. "In Abu Dhabi, when Ross asked me if I could imagine returning to F1, I felt that I wasn't ready for it. But only two weeks later, when he called me once again, I realised that my old passion was returning. Suddenly I was on fire again. For me, the imagination to be back in a F1 car and to compete for the world championships is exciting and extremely inspiring." http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/80657 |

The time margin is quite small. Abu Dhabi was on 01/11 and Alonso's visit to Maranello 06/11. Perhaps MS started to change his mind just after the GP and talked to Luca, who knows. |

"I have decided to return to Formula One. Mercedes GP and I agreed on teaming up for the coming 3 seasons. And to be honest, I'm already super excited by the prospect to be back in a F1 cockpit. I don't want to deny at all that the idea of a German F1 team extremely tempts me. I guess every German driver would feel this way. And of course it plays a major role that I again can work together with Ross at Mercedes GP. Above all, http://www.michael-schumacher.de/?page=new...d=90298&lang=uk |
