Well I'd have been very surprised if the headline was: "Todt: I'm going to be transparently biased." If Todt fulfils his promise to install an independent commissioner to oversee F1, thus having little direct involvement in it himself, I don't see why there would be a problem. Unless his chosen commissioner was Max, of course.... |

Well, what does everyone expect him to say. He'd never get voted in if he went round saying "I will be biased! Death to everyone except Ferrari" Of course, I don't think he will be biased but I do fear that he could be easily influenced by past aquaintances, like his old friends in the Italian motorsport authorities. As observers of politics will undoubtedly know, lobbying is a very powerful thing. |

I think Todt will spend a short period of time being anti-Ferrari to show that he's not 'biased'. Then he'll just pick up his contacts within all teams and those he likes will get preference (his son?) |

C'mon guys. If anything, having Todt leading the FIA is going to hinder Ferrari because if the FIA ever rule in their favour, there will be much wailing and gnashing of teeth. |

it is not bias that I fear, it is more the fact that Todt was a very political animal in his tenure at Ferrari and I expect more of the same as FIA prez. I hope I'm wrong but he could well be Max mark 2, just without the dungeon and whips. |

Todt cannot be a Max Mk2. Max enjoyed unprecented power in F1 over the rule making procedure due to there being no concord agreement in existence. The new concord agreement has now been signed by all the teams, and that shifts the rule making to the Formula One commission and importantly the teams have a say in the new rules |

The new Concorde Agreement, which runs until 31 December 2012, provides for a continuation of the procedures in the 1998 Concorde Agreement, with decisions taken by working groups and commissions, upon which all teams have voting rights, before going to the WMSC for ratification. http://www.formula1.com/news/headlines/2009/8/9713.html |

... even think about it... F1 MUST NEVER BE LEAD BY THIS SMALL FRENCH naopolaen *Spelt wrong on purpose and as a common noun, like table or hat, as his name deserves not o be Proper. Just as F1 should have never been presided over by the son of a fallen wannabe Nazi dictator, who counted the man responsible for the death of 100's of millioon of people spread acroos Europe, Africa, Asia and North America as his mentor and dear friend. Any son of such a man deserves the chance 2b equal. He does not deserve respect for the linage of his family or for his own public and private actions. If any member on this board can present a differing account of Mosley;s father, then do. Such could be forgiven if the son of such attempted in some ways to address the shame of his fathers name in his own actions of good. Jackie Stewarty has done more for F! safetly than anybody full stop. end of... Max has done NCAP Euro stars, which is excellent. If he had not tried playing the man in F!, he could of been remembered as a great. Savings millions of lives a year through safe cars. However, the motives were not for the general good of mankind, but 4 Mads good. Sacrifice, is giving for no gain to oneself, Max. Yet, Mosley has seen to emulate his father, but in the arena of sport. I suppose thats safer than Poland, or Le Francey. Sport is fun, not money. Money comes with it, of course. Anything F1 ist he best. I've got a Mugen rear torsion bar in my Integra that is taken from the design on Jordan Mugen F1 cars. Go to Silverstone and pickup one of the tyres. Amazingly light! "TODT IS A DICTATOR", confirms Fry and Ross Update - August 18, 2010; Reuters First year of term, first of war. Ross Brawn sent a clear message in his internal FOTA e-mail of yesterday morning, "An emergency meeting between FOTA and the FIA, excluding their president, Joan Toad, has taken place earlier today. The results are that Joan Toad has relinquished his position as President with the appointment of his replacement, Mika Hakieen being announced at lunchtime today" |

Yeah, but 2012 is only 3 years away and that doesn't stop the kind of skullduggery that went on before reoccuring, lest we forget what happened earlier this year. |
