Alonso and Massa. I don't think Shumi wants to get back into the day to day grind of being a full time F1 driver. Plus right now Alonso is in his prime and Shumi is past his. I don't think he could beat Alonso in the same car.

Although I have always been a follower of Renault, Ligier before that (70'-90's with the like of Martin Brundle, Jaques Laffite, Rene Arnoux, Jacky Ixc, etc.) I never disliked Ferrari on the contrary, so I am very pleased If Alonso ends up there. Another perfect combination.
Oh..and I love a good red wine.

Strange that there have been an odd number of votes. <think>

Maybe someone took Luca's "three cars" thing seriously.

For the record, I voted Alonso and Massa. If Fernando doesn't go there in 2010 he will in 2011, but I think next year is most likely at the moment.

Officially it’s meant to be Massa and Raikkonen because Ferrari said a while back Raikonnen was signed through 2010

In reality I expect it to be Alonso and Massa. I’m not sure it will work though because I’d expect Massa to push Alonso all the way for the number 1 status and we’ve seen what happened when Alonso gets a teammate than can beat him and Massa is no Piquet Jr

Strad, let's move on mate, beside Ferrari will give TRUE equal opportunity to both driver, something that Ron didn't do, remember "We are racing Alonso!". Let's not based ourself on old stories reported by the media. I think Alonso has changed for the better as well. At least let's give him a chance.

Er, isn't the notion that McLaren did not give equal treatment to Alonso a "tired old story" too. Apart from the fact that Alonso withdrew his story and no evidence of disparity was revealed. Now, you could claim that Alonso was forced in to with drawing his story but I really doubt that as it was for the last race of the season and the FIA were investigating McLaren already.

On the subject of Alonso's current situation, I agree that what piquet says should be taken with a little more than a pinch of salt as there is some ingrained bitterness there and, after 2 years with the team and little apparent improvement, is it a surprise that Flav was losing his patience.

Move on from what? I am talking about a possible situation for Ferrari next year

Alonso, world class driver that he is, is also a diva. Remember what he did at Hungary? A bit childish wasn’t it, or doesn’t that count? Like Andy has said, there was no evidence of unequal treatment at McLaren. What happened was that Alonso assumed the team would completely revolve around him (like it does and had done at Renault) but when he found it was 50/50 and his team-mate was faster than him he didn’t like it.

On paper Alonso and Massa is an excellent combination, probably the best on the grid but will it work out? It remains to be seen

Massa and Raikkonen. Surely Ferrari couldn't possibly drop Massa after all they've been through together, and Kimi I think will really step up to the plate during Felipe's absence, convincing Ferrari they don't need Alonso. It might happen in 2011 though.

I don’t think Ferrari will drop Massa as he’s been their best driver for the last 2 years and I’m sure they owe him the chance to come back and prove his fitness

Try telling that to DC, who made similar comments about his time with Hakkinen.....

<thumbsup>
