Ferrari are expected to confirm Satandar as a sponsor for next year, in what is acknowledged as the current worst-kept secret in F1. The big question is though, will the furry-browed one be confirmed as a driver too, and if so, for next year or the year after? http://en.f1-live.com/f1/en/headlines/news...811112214.shtml

"furry-browed". With this kind of language, I must assume your body is perfect. I think is a bit premature to Annouce Alonso or anyone else. Monza or end of year will be more suited. The bets are openned, Alonso in next year. |

I reckon that Alonso will be a Ferrari driver next year, and that he is being lined-up to partner Massa (if he is fit to drive). Ferrari traditionally use Monza to make these announcements, so an announcement of Santander + Alonso seems very likely. |

No, it isn't. However, that doesn't alter the fact that Alonso has extremely furry eyebrows!!

Anyway I predicted when Alonso was coy about who he would be driving for next year they he would be going to Ferrari next year. I stand by that. |

Some days (weeks?) ago I could read an interview to Emilio Botín (Santander's President) stating that they were not interested in sponsoring Ferrari without Alonso. Then, either he has changed his mind or ... |

Ferrari tend to confirm their drivers only for the following year, not the year after. That's a McLaren trick for destabilising the team their new signing is departing from.... |

Not that McLaren set any precidents there. Remember prost at Williams and how he ousted Mansell, or the persistent "rumours" (more commonly known as the worlds worst kept secret) when Kimi signed for Ferrari. Also, I seem to remember that Alonso was the first to break cover over his and McLaren's parting of ways, saying that he would prefer to drive else where. Anyway, not to single Alonso out, other drivers have also done this, like when Senna signed for Lotus or Prost signed for Ferrari or when Montoya signed for McLaren then announced his intentions over 12 months before his move. These games are nothing new and are certainly not exclusive to McLaren. |
