... with the absence of Alonso.

have faith in the appeal... he will be there <thumbsup>

Not too much faith since Alonso commented to the Spanish media that "To be the FIA President you don't have to be an academic" He is paying for this including Flavio the revolutionary leader. <roflmao>

The Renault Team have already arrived in Valencia....

I'm not entirely convinced. He was always a bit no-hope like when he was full time. Wouldn't Ferrari have been better off trying to borrow one of STR's reserve drivers? After all, who supplies their engines.....?

Borrowing one of STR's drivers would probably have been contractually as difficult as borrowing Alonso, albeit slightly cheaper.

Badoer has only been confirmed for Valencia, not beyond. It's entirely possible that the Valencia run could just be a "thank you" to Luca for all his years of loyal service to the team, and they will find a more permanent replacement after that.

Mind you, the latest rumours are that Massa will return at Suzuka, so whoever takes the Ferrari seat in the long term will only do a few races.

Off course, can't wait to next Monday as it will be too late. But the Irony is that they arrived first. :)

You know they won't. Even a podium will be possible, but I will see them in the points for sure...well if all the nuts are tightened properly.
