Flavio although his boss was also his manager and so should in theory have been working in his best interest... does Jr. have a case...?

technically speaking he might just have grounds... but I've never known a driver to sue his manager when he got fired from a team, just because his manager and the boss are one and the same does not change this...

So I've voted NO.

Actually, Piquet's contract has a performance claus where he has to achieve a certain percentage of Alonso's points by mid-season. He hasn't scored any as yet so, by rights Flabio should sue him for wasting his time. Oh, he should also sue who ever cut his hair as well. That do is truely frightening,

Judging by the look of it, he most likely cuts it himself.

On Piquet, it's difficult to say whether he should sue or not because we don't know the terms in his contract either with Flavio (as his manager) or Renault (as his team). Although rather than getting embroiled in messy legal proceedings, the best thing for Piquet to do would be to sign up for another team and show the world his real talent.

If he turns out not to have any real talent, well, at least we'll know for sure. :P

Even if everything that Piquet says is true, there are probably no grounds to sue. So I've voted no.

Sue Flabbio? No

Sack Flabbio? Yes

A 40% to be exact.

Piquet's performance has been really poor. In Hungary both Piquet and Alonso had the same identical car. Alonso pole and Piquet 14.

He made his point well, I think whilst people may consider his comments as true, a court case would spoil it.
He probably gained more support when people read how he perceived Flavio treated him, than when he was dishing out poor results on the track.

I doubt sueing is the answer but he should have a case.
Flavio's role of team principle conflicted hard with his role as the driver's manager. He couldn't look out for the best interest of both parties and he's suppose to do -- the 40% clause is a great point on that.

Piquet Jr. should have realized this (or his dad) and it should have been dealt with. If I was Jr., I'd ask for some of my money back from Flavio since he did a crap job of managing my interests.

I am sure Flavio would have done it knowing his rights. Case closed.

Unless he has documentary evidence to prove his statements, he simply does not have a valid case.

All he has is his own opinion, and maybe his Dad, but that's hearsay, and not valid as evidence.

Piquet's performance has been really poor. In Hungary both Piquet and Alonso had the same identical car. Alonso pole and Piquet 14.

While it's true to say that Alonso made it into Q1 and Piquet didn't, Alonso basically had a mechanic drink some fuel, exhale into the tank, and that's how he managed Pole. It was hardly a miracle or some great feat. Even if he'd stayed on the track it's not even likely he'd have finished on the podium.

Alonso has a truck load more talent and experience so it's not surprising that he pretty much trounced him, but if you consider that Alonso had the team and manager behind him and Piquet did not then I think this can account for the disparity in performances.

I was really critical of Piquet when he arrived and I'm still no fan. He mouthed off way too much and he really has had his comeuppance, but you can't help feeling that he's been treated pretty badly.

AND I wouldn't be surprised if Alonso doesn't have a performance clause in his contract stating that no team mate is allowed to score more than 40% of his tally. Just kidding obviously.

I think that if NP Jr sued Flabbio for the offences cited, he'd probably counter-sue for slander on account of the almost inevitably unsubstantiated claims made....

I think Nelson should put a gypsy curse on Flavio causing him to be fat and hairy for eternity.
