I really do not think giving M Schumacher a test in the 2009 Ferrari will make much of a difference to his performance come race weekend.

Yes he has to learn the new car but he will have Friday and Saturday to do this as i am sure this is all he will require.

Now maybe if M Schumacher does well no one can point the finger about him getting a test before hand which is great.

I am sure Ferrari will have all the information Schumacher needs already and i am also sure the 2007 car he has been testing will not be the same 2007 car under the skin.

Is there EVER a FIA representive at a Ferrari track to look over the car??

I can not believe that a TEST is being so hyped up and causing so much agro

F1 teams and none Schumacher fans must be very worried about M Schumacher doing very well before their getting so worked up <think>

I don't think that's it at all.

What the teams are worried about is that Schumacher would turn up on the day of his F60 test, spend about half an hour getting used to the car and up to speed, and then spend the rest of the day doing setup work and part development, in effect giving Ferrari a test day during the season, which is banned. And that's exactly what would happen.

I didn't create the actual timeline and events... they are now resigned to historical fact... STR as part of FOTA did not raise objections when FOTA discussed the proposal, They lied about requesting a test for their own driver as Norbert Haug confirmed.

They are simply looking to grab a few cheap column inches... as I said well done chaps <clap>

They lied about requesting a test for their own driver as Norbert confirmed.

Did I? I merely mentioned that no-one had reported the story, which seemed a tad odd.....

And of a sudden someone who is associated with McLaren MUST be telling the truth

Really really funny how it’s always if the caps fits

It's not fair..... screams Luca
http://www.planetf1.com/story/0,18954,3213_5473078,00.html

That really sums up Ferrari's season.

It's not fair that while we were scoring tons more points than you because we are loads richer than you and have a better car, image and can attract names such as Michael Schumacher to our team, (breathes), that you sneakily, behind our backs but still making it perfectly clear what technical issues need to be cleared up (la la la not listening) (breathes again) spend that year that would have been wasted for you because you're crap anyway, developing a car and beating us for the first 8 races of this year.

It just isn't fair, so we're going to kick our relationship with the FIA in the balls and threaten to leave if they don't fix it NOW, and now, you won't even let our poor inexperienced OVER THE HILL (quite literally) driver do a little bit of incey wincey testing that probably wouldn't do anyone any harm (and honestly, we didn't veto the STR test (because they didn't ask knowing that it wasn't allowed)).

That's it I'm going home with my toys and next time I'm going round the other side of the block to set up a new series with all my other friends AND YOU'RE NOT INVITED.
