I fear this thread is going to be the first of many that will degenerate to nonsense before this season ends, the question is, will there be anybody left on these boards to post anything else?
Maybe that's the future of TPL.

Thankfully most posters on the forum can spot the usual dire des conneries as it comes from the usual source... and most will ignore it accordingly

i presume you are including yourself in that statement

Frank has just got shooting up in my estimations as well. The old git has still got a bit of fight in him yet

Lets also not forget Frank is one of the few privateer’s left. Good old Frank

He’s had the last laugh with BMW and now he’s foiled Schumacher

Things looking up for t’old lad. Pity his cars aren’t winning

The man from Williams "he say no"

The Williams team has opposed Ferrari's request to allow Michael Schumacher to test ahead of his return to Formula 1 at the European Grand Prix, AUTOSPORT can reveal.

Ferrari had asked all current teams, as well as the FIA, to allow Schumacher to have a one-day test with this year's F60 car to familiarise himself with the machine.

http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/77534

You can understand Williams point of view though

schumacher's tactics robbed his team of drivers championship in 94 and very nearly again in 97

I suspect this is Frank's way of having a little dig back

I understand his point view. He is trying to protect his team, and every WCC point that Schumacher takes from Williams hits them financially.

Frank is only thinking of his team (and rightly so), it is a reflection of the threat to his teams point scoring ability that he has veto'd the test...

[size0] ...the fact it makes him a cock is immaterial as that was a character trait of his long before this.

John, I noticed that you have in your signature, 'Frank W is a cock'

Am I to presume as is the norm that because you didn't use a euphemism or st*r out the word to make it less offensive to readers that you mean, he is a Cock in the sense of the bird, strutting about and lording it over everybody, or do you actually think/mean he's a c*ck ;)

As he's such a legend, should MS really NEED the test?

No, his driver's suicidal lunge into a gap that was never going to be there when he arrived at the apex of the corner did.

However, for 97 you are correct.

It was a stupid lunge, a wiser man would have seen the actions of desperate driver who just lost control of his car and was like never likely to make it back to the pit lane. Clever guy that desperate driver.

Who said anything about the Adelaide incident. A lot of us firmly believe Benetton and Schumi cheated through the entire season with an illegal car. The Adelaide incident was just the final straw

Perhaps Hill should still have beaten someone who had four less races that year?
