Will be investigated AFTER the race.

Is that Kimi by any chance?

I can't believe they would even think about an investigation. Pure and simple racing. I watched the replays so many times. Where did Kimi have to go? He was in the middle. He was ahead. That would be a real disgrace if any penalty was applied to Kimi. It was a simple racing incident.

Yeah, Kimi had to avoid the Red Bull so he swung to the right. No need for a penalty there. Though I did say the same about Webber in Germany and he got penalised.

This well be seen by many as FERRARI getting better treatment.

For me this NEEDS to be sorted out during the race.

Webber got a penalty during the last race while the race was running so why can they not sort this out for Kimi during the race as it was early on.

For me nothing should be done as i feel it was just racing.

I just wish these things were sorted while the race is running

For what it's worth a 25-second penalty for Raikkonen would drop him to sixth behind Glock and elevate Rosberg to the podium. Unlikely to happen, though Vettel is saying that his coming-together with Kimi at the exit of turn one is what caused his retirement, so there could be cause for complaint.

I thought the Webber penalty was borderline as you are allowed to defend. But that had no similarities to the Kimi/Vettel bump. Kimi was in the middle and had only a split second to decide how to move. He didn't do a major shunt, and for sure not to hit someone on purpose.

From the arial views, he was just juggling aroung a bit, and Vettel was behind. In situations like that Vettel should have backed off a bit.

I suspect nothing will come of it.

How come every time Kimi is involved, it will be investigated AFTER the race and not during.

Sure I'm all for racing, thought he really compromised a lot of people at the start. People would calling for a hanging if Lewis had done that.

I don't understand why Webber was given a penalty immediately last race, but Kimi is investigated after the race.

This is not the way to convince people there is no conspiracy.

I don't see anyone giving Kimi extra special treatment. In fact most of the powers don't like Kimi at all. Who does? I have personally felt this was the first time in quite a while he was in a position to defend. I thought Massa's move on Kimi a few races ago was much more blatant.

I cannot see what Kimi did wrong at all, and it has nothing to do with the stewards agreeing to defer a penalty. I think the stewards got a nonsense complaint from Red Bull (with their famous correspondent driver who I think should stop pretending to be a diplomat, and actually be one, if that is what he wants to do), and needed to deal with it.

Nothing will happen and nothing should. It had nothing to do with favouratism to Ferrari and certainly not Kimi, as they don't really like him anyway.

This what I am saying, not necessarily that Kimi should have been slapped with penalty, just WHY THE F*** is there never any consistency in this sport.

Judge the incident in the race and give Kimi the all clear if you feel there was nothing wrong!!!

Simple as that.

Now I can say something to this. It has nothing to do with the sport, but rather the Hungarians.

Wait wait wait. I am 50% Hungarian, which means I can never win a fight. Sorry a bit of history there.

None of us know why Hungary is still on the circuit (though not a bad race today), but maybe in the rush to get more money, and in the middle of all the battles between Max, the FIA and FOTA and so on, consistency has been the victim of conflicting views (rule changes, tyres, budgets, testing, etc.) and lack of clear and empowered management.

So we should expect goofy incidents like today, and ongoing inconsistency.

Until...Jean Todt becomes the new FIA President! And then everything will be calm, and consistent. There will be no arguments. Nothing but harmony, and no one will have to work on Sundays.

Yes I am winding a few up here. Sorry.

Funny thing. Karl Marx and the Communist Manifesto wrote much of that. Maybe the two goofiest things in the Comm. Man. were his assertions that under communism there would be no prostitution, and everyone could go fishing on Sundays.

Two of the stupidest things I ever read.

BUT, was he right??? Kim Jong Il can go fishing on Sundays, and he never has to pay for anything, including girls. So maybe Olde Karl was right after all.
