Alonso wasnt kidding when he said he went aggressive! His best hope is that Lewis manages to get past the Red Bulls and hold them up but I still think making the podium is unlikely. |

Wonder what the logic was in Alonso running so light? He'll surely drop out of the top five by the first set of pit stops? |

Showboating I guess. Either that or hoping for no traffic whatsoever to make a three-stop strategy work (one M Schumacher showed that it can be done). But it will be tough for Fernando from here. |

That's true. I hadn't considered that he might try a three stopper. |

Jenson has more fuel than he intended due to the work done on the car so he didn't burn much off. Am hoping he can still grab some decent points. Can't believe how light Alonso is. |

EJ said he drove in with Nando who said when asked by a fan who would be pole, I will! Supreme confidence in his car, but also knew he'd be running light Edit: grrr I hate the iPod spellchecker |

The car weight is not proportional to the number of laps. It also depends on other factor such as engine consumption. I found Alonso is doing always 2 to 3 laps more than predicted. So I expect him to stop at lap 16... hope anyway. |

Yes, Renault definitely has better fuel consumption than many of the other cars. |
