That picture is terrifying. I'm just so relieved he's doing ok and I hope he's back racing again soon.

It just goes to show that even with the massively improved safety this sport is still very dangerous. According to james allen they medics had to put Massa under sedation while they ran tests -

Hope he gets better soon and is back racing

I said in the Henry Surtees thread that had he been 1m away in any direction he'd have lived, had Massa been 1m further up the track and 5cm to the left, he'd surely have been killed!

Such is lady luck

Looking at the Brawns quali it looks like their cars are falling in pieces <sarcasm>

Well done Alonso, although light, but with a good start and a great pace like in Nurburgring could see him at the top.

I hope Massa get better quick, although I read he won't race in Valence neither.

Could a moderator please remove that ghoulish picture of Massa in this thread and replace it with a link?

I do not take pleasure in seeing a close up picture of the injury of somebody who's had a very nasty accident and I certainly don't come to this forum to see such material. I did not need to see that picture and I did not want to and I am very upset by it and by the fact that it's been posted here. I expect to see that sort of thing on rotten.com but not on what I thought was a respectable forum.

It's disrespectuful to Massa, his family and friends. Please remove it or at the very least mark this thread with a warning that it contains a highly offensive image.

just select in board setting not to automatically show images etc

that way, you need to click on the link to see the picture

i sometimes post from work and it's handy when people post massive pictures of semi naked women that would appear on my screen of I didn't have that option selected

annoying
