I have to admit i am suprised that Brawn are still the fastest team in F1 this season even when there is no test weekends.

Yes Red Bull are getting closer to Brawn and Ferrari and the rest are closing but for me this is too late for 2009 season.

What i am wondering tho is can Brawn continue to be the team to beat during this year and then into 2010?

I think they'll be reeled in next year. The huge change in regs played right into their hands, and they've taken full advantage. They didn't have a car to finish last year, and the other teams did. I would doubt McLaren and Ferrari will get stung twice in two years.

I think the very fact that they are so "competitive" (read: dominant) this season means that they can afford to start looking at next year's car. They may not be so dominant next year, but I'm willing to bet they'll be right up there - because of the testing bans, Ferrari and McLaren can't just spend their way out of this one.
