Yer but the car is shit.

Think Mclaren need to pay attention to this.

Kov is not good enough for the Mclaren tho when the car is good

Kovalainen is perfect for McLaren. He's not fast enough to get in Hamilton's way but he was solid enough last year when the car was good. I can see the logic behind hiring Rosberg as a replacement, though, as he would do much the same job.

You could make the arguement that he didn't perorm well enough last year to win them the WCC, and I cannot recall if he really took points off Massa at all.

F1 team seeks driver, unspoken, lacking winning drive, preferably Finnish, must come cap in hand.

I can only see one similarity between Kova and Rosberg and that I believe is only half true.

Kovalainen is 3-4 in qualifying versus Hamilton this season and 4-9 in points. For a designated #2 driver, that's not too bad, especially considering how close the field is this year and the form of other 'number two drivers' in the pitlane.

If McLaren do go down the Vettel route (assuming they could actually get him at the moment, which is by no means a certainty) they will have a hard job keeping both drivers happy. And as for Rosberg, I'm not sure he'd offer much more than Heikki to be honest.

I don't think Vettel will go to McLaren w/ Lewis there, he's too good to be number 2, and I think he could best Lewis straight up.

Nicco might be a good fit. I know he scored the highest ever on Williams engineering aptitude test, and while I don't know Lewis' engineering ability I'm guessing it's not grand as I've never heard anything mentioned about it before.

One minor objection to that statement. Yes he isn't good enough to beat Hamilton to the WDC but he wasn't solid enough to support him last year either. There wasn't a single race where Kovi took points off the Ferraris.

Hungary? Yes, Kova got lucky with Massa retiring but he beat Raikkonen on merit.

I think Kovalainen has been very poor this season, only in the Chinese GP did he do anything of note.

Unless he improves he will be replaced

Hamilton is happy to have Kov in the team for 2010.

Wonder why <sarcasm>

I am really suprised that Mclaren have not tried to sign Vettel or another big driver.

Yes they tried with Alonso and Lewis which did not work but to win a Constructors Championship you need to good drivers.

Hmm saying that Brawn are doing well <sarcasm>
