<wtf> was that crap? They had almost as much advert time as actual racing. <hitwall> <grrr> I know Speed takes a number of ad breaks but that was insane! Hoping beyond hope they cut a few for Silverstone. <please>

It was pretty awful. They roll up to the start box, take a commercial break and come back in two minutes. We didn't miss the start, but it was contrived. Then, they compress all the post race activities.

ITV used to have 5 in a normal length race, 6 if it went for 2 hours which was about average. In Italy you can watch on a commercial channel without any breaks and you could in Germany until this year.

I decided not to waste my tire DVR'ng it since I was out Sunday afternoon. ABC always did a terrible job with their delayed showings and my guess was that FOX wouldn't be any better -- and it sounds like I was right.

If you're not going to actually show racing, why pay the money for the show? the only people who'll check it out are the racing fans and they, as a group, hate commercials.
