Toyota are selling parts of their old F1 cars on their website. http://www.toyota-f1-shop.com/home/b2c_tmg/b2c/start.do (Click "F1 Parts" on the navigation bar on the left-hand side) One way to help new teams get around the "customer cars" ban, I suppose.... On a related note, a question for John: If BMW start doing the same thing, can we expect you to build a full-scale BMW in your garage, given your talent for modelling?

You'd be surprised at what F1 car parts you can find even on eBay. Last year there were 'planks' from both Hondas from the British GP practice, and I've looked at plenty of Jordan pieces, mainly wings and exhaust collector pipes. The only bit I have is a Tyrrell brake disc from 'somewhere around 88-92' according to the seller, which certainly didn't cost several hundred Euros plus taxes....! |
