Pos Driver Weight (kg.)
1. Jenson Button 647.5
2. Kimi Raikkonen 644.0
3. Rubens Barrichello 648.0
4. Sebastian Vettel 631.5
5. Felipe Massa 643.5
6. Nico Rosberg 642.0
7. Heikki Kovalainen 644.0
8. Mark Webber 646.5
9. Fernando Alonso 654.0
10. Kazuki Nakajima 668.0
11. Sebastien Buemi 670.0*
12. Nelson Piquet 673.1*
13. Giancarlo Fisichella 693.0*
14. Sebastien Bourdais 699.5*
15. Adrian Sutil 670.0*
16. Lewis Hamilton 645.5*
17. Nick Heidfeld 680.0*
18. Robert Kubica 696.0*
19. Jarno Trulli 688.3*
20. Timo Glock 700.8*

Brawn still very much on top, it seems. Kimi will have to get ahead in turn one if anyone other than Button is going to win this race.

Vettel is in big trouble then, it does usually happen that when the Brawns put fuel in they get better. Especially in Buttons case.

Pit stop predictions (my own calculations, so could be very wrong indeed):

1. Jenson Button (lap 23)
2. Kimi Raikkonen (lap 21)
3. Rubens Barrichello (lap 24)
4. Sebastian Vettel (lap 14)
5. Felipe Massa (lap 21)
6. Nico Rosberg (lap 20)
7. Heikki Kovalainen (lap 21)
8. Mark Webber (lap 23)
9. Fernando Alonso (lap 27)
10. Kazuki Nakajima (lap 35)
11. Sebastien Buemi (lap 36)
12. Nelson Piquet (lap 38)
13. Giancarlo Fisichella (lap 50)
14. Sebastien Bourdais (lap 53)
15. Adrian Sutil (lap 36)
16. Lewis Hamilton (lap 22)
17. Nick Heidfeld (lap 42)
18. Robert Kubica (lap 51)
19. Jarno Trulli (lap 47)
20. Timo Glock (lap 54)

Very risky strategy from Hamilton. I think he'll get bogged down behind some Force Indias because there's no way he'll be able to make up much ground under normal circumstances at Monaco, and the stewards have been really hot this weekend on penalising GP2 drivers who cut the first corner.

I'm surprised Red Bull haven't put in a protest, Vettel was clearly held up by Nakajima on his last run. Not that it would make too much difference to Seb's grid position, of course. If Webber gets a good start he could be a good shout to make the podium.

That's not going to get Button demoted 10 places.

I forsee a coming together of Button and Kimi at the start. Kimi is not very compromising and I can see him attacking Button aggressively and not giving back gracefully.

if Jenson's got his racing head on tomorrow, he'll let Kimi go and then make it up once Kimi pits.

I'm pretty sure Kimi will be first at the first corner unless he completely wanKERS it

Hamilton is now starting from the back due to a gearbox change. Where I previously said "Force Indias," replace with "BMWs." <rolleyes>

Why on earth is Lewis so light?? Sure, he'll make up two or three places at the start bebing really light and having KERS, but there's no way he'll overtake more than one or two cars after the first few corners? Surely filling it to the brim and one stopping would be the sensible option, or are they planning to do a few laps on the less favourable tyres, pitting early to get space and doing a really long middle or last stint?

As for Glock, have we ever seen a car breach the 700kg barrier before??

<yikes>

Are they not allowed to suggest that the gearbox was damaged in his shunt and use the spare car with the original engine and new gearbox?

An engine or gearbox change after qualifying drops you to the back of the grid regardless of the reason for the change. My guess is that Hamilton will start from the pit lane so won't even get the chance to make up a few places in the first corner.

On Glock, I don't think we've seen a car top 700 kilos since they started declaring the fuel weights. However, I bet it's been done before this season. Certainly Piquet last year used to carry ridiculous fuel loads on occasion, the team presumably hoping he would last long enough in the race to put it to good effect....

..when they should have known he'd have been better off with half the amount as he'd never get that far....

If he starts from the pitlane can't he choose his fuel load then?
