Can someone explain why or how so many who know so little manage to get paid so much?

My bosses know less than I did so they never figured out that I was overpaid. And maybe the scars scared them off.

Unfortunately the people in charge here don't know enough to realize most of the good people are underpaid, and looking to leave.

It's because they don't let on that know so much, otherwise everyone would ask them stupid questions.

Just because you don't know the answer doesn't make you dumb... lol

No, but if you don't know the answer I find it's better to say as much, rather than constantly giving the wrong answer.

Anyway I've now been charged w/ having to write Voip training materials for our customer care group. I'm supposed to train people who are happy to be non technical on a application layer protocol. :o

Bamboozle them with your 'techiness', Rob. Hyperload the material with jargon.

They won't ask you to write another manual, ever! <thumbsup>

I'm (secretly) hoping the Wire shark screen shots will blow their minds, but honestly just the explanation of the Cisco OSI will do it.

I always find words like combobulator and temporal flux go down a treat in manuals and LWI's <angel>

I must confess I do like to use session boarder controller and network boarder switch interchangeably w/o explaining they are the same thing network. For some reason very few are able to catch both terms have the word boarder in the middle.
