I was busy around Christmas and New Year but now i'm back to doing nothing :)
Apart from going to the gym and playing on my wii :)
You should have said you were a pregnant lady on her own and you were scared :)
RAC man would have been there in minutes.  :)

Bit difficult to claim pregnancy seeing as the insurers know I'm a bloke. As for playing on the Wii, I'm still regretting starting to play the boxing game. I feel like I've been run over by a bus. Still, as yet, I haven't lost in about 8 fights, but it's starting to get a lot harder now!

Ah, Wii Boxing! That's hard work!

I discovered on New Year's Eve that my skill in the bowling game increases with the amount of beer that I drink!

I haven't tried drinking and Wii bowling, but my record is 229. That was something like seven strikes, three spares and a 9 for the extra. I started that game with five strikes in a row! Sadly, in real life, my highest score is 159, and I usually struggle to get more than 100.....

Why play the wii???

From my experience just go for a night out and have a few drinks and at somepoint during the night some to**** will start on you for no reason and THEN you can enjoy the experience of proper fighting

Just think for the price of a pint instead of a Wii you can have lots of fun and not look like a pleb in your living room.

Only downside is if his mates come along and you land up in hospital or jail for being charged.

Hmm maybe a Wii is a better idea <think>

And I was going to work from home, except that it wasn't snowing much in my village, so I went to work. Then the snow got worse, so I was going to take a bus home. But they cancelled all the buses, so I went to work anyway, not knowing how I'm going to get home.

I love Mondays. <grrr>

What a laugh

Up here in’t north of England we had it all prepared, the M62 was ploughed last night and this morning

Most of the buses and trains are running and despite up to 8 inches of snow in places

Of a `75 men work force here there is only one person that isn’t here yet despite all this the lazy teachers are about the only people who can’t get out of bed and loads of schools are closed, which is pathetic seen as everyone else in the county has made it to work without a problem

Whereas darn sarth where people wear gloves in Autumn all the London buses are cancelled and the tube has had to stop, it’s chaos on the M25, M20 and M11

Pretty much business as normal up here, we are used to this

Jealousy will get you nowhere Stradders ;)

I'd much rather spend the day having snowball fights in the garden with the mini-Fords than sitting in my office handing out plasters and ice-packs all day <dance>

Oh and according to the BBC you up-Northers are struggling too ;)

NORTHERN ENGLAND

More than 200 schools are closed across Cumbria and the north-east of England.

Police said several lorries were stranded on the A69 near Cumbria after failing to negotiate Greenhead Bank, causing huge tailbacks to Haltwhistle.

A major trans-Pennine route, the A66, is closed eastbound between the A1 at Scotch Corner and the A685 at the Cumbrian border.

Schools closed as snow sweeps in

Northern Gas Networks said engineers were being hampered by heavy snow on roads as they try to restore gas supplies to more than 2,000 homes in Rothbury, Northumberland after an equipment failure.

Heavy snow overnight has led to the closure of about 70 schools across North Yorkshire and 343 schools across West Yorkshire.

Heavy snow forces school closures

Several inches of snow has fallen in some areas, leading to hazardous driving conditions, although major routes are passable, police said.

The snow has led to delays at Leeds Bradford Airport.

Snow is causing traffic delays across Greater Manchester, with two Pennine roads shut due to heavy falls and ice.

Treacherous driving conditions have been reported on the M6 in Cheshire, the M60 and the M62.

Road delays after overnight snow

Cold weather and snow has closed 35 primary and secondary schools in Lancashire, mainly in the east of the county
