It's that time of year again <dance>
Already three cars are out:

In friday practice PWR's Paul Weel hit the safety barrier near McPhillamey Park and ended up sideways across the track, Team Kiwi's Chris Pither had nowhere to go. Thankfully Pither managed to walk away unhurt and although Weel was airlifted to hospital he didn't suffer any major injurys.
It was really quite sickening to watch and brought back memories of two years ago when Mark Porter was killed in a very similar crash.

In saturday practice Greg Radisich in the HSV Dealer Team car clipped the wall at 180km/h, skipped across the gravel trap and into the barrier at the top of the circuit, apparently the throttle stuck, he severely fractured his right ankle and also dislocated his left.
With the no.15 car out of the race Team HSV has put Rick Kelly in car 16 alongside Paul Dumbrell, meaning for the second year in a row David Reynolds has his hopes dashed at the last minute after the Supercheap car he was due to co-drive with Cam McConville in last year's race suffered engine failure on the warm up lap :(

you'll be firmly in the red corner then Alli?

i'll be watching NASCAR when this race is on but i'll keep flicking back

it's going to be a long night - sadly I won't be making any contributions to Pit Lane on any race tonight

i'm going for an outsider to win, the Davison/Johnson Ford team

i've really lost interest in this championship over the last couple of seasons, mainly because of the cheating tactics employed by the HSV and HRT Holden teams which consistently goes unpunished

we saw it again at Sandown where I think it was Tander drove into the back of Lowndes and then went onto win

Ford will never ever win this championship again because the autorities favour Holden all the time
