It is not because this is a McLaren petition that I am cynical... I find all on-line petitions as pointless as they are to easily tampered with.

yeah. but its there best there is at the moment.

There is always the good old fashioned way... write a letter to the FIA...

that would be far more effective... or is this fight for justice not worth the price of a stamp.

letter? write? pen paper?

nah. this is a digital world.
Thats just as open to abuse as online petition, especially if I used Word.

you said it your self... the thought of having to write a complaint and post it to the FIA means that the time wasters will be unlikely to do it once let alone more than once..

I'd rather see 5-10,000 real letters of complaint than 20,000+ Internet signatures on line.

You keep saying the FIA are old fools... well old fools understand old methods

not so sure they are fools. Foolish but not fools. One doesn't usually reach those positions of power through foolishness.

cost is a factor. does the FIA have a n international freepost address?

besides which, reading thorugh the comments, I dont get the sense of trickery at play. Just a natural reaction to an unnatural decision finding a common means of expression through a slightly flawerd system,.

That doesn't invalidate the process though.

No the fact I one person have signed it 5 times (so far <thumbsup> ) invalidates it

Some Hamilton/McLaren fan will be so enraged they will also (for different reasons) sign the list many times.

as soon as as it no longer represents the accurate feeling of individuals... it is worthless as an indication of peoples true feeling on the matter

Well, we can only hope that petition signatories such as your good self are in the minority and that the vast majority of those who did post upheld the core principle of democracy - trust.

Without that, we're just monkeys chasing the yellow banana.

I agree, it only takes one dishonest person to spoilt it. All we can hope is that the majority are honest.

14314. AndyW76 I agree with dazzerjp.... this is a mistake, stop the petition Yes

Now you are getting silly.

You cant just take a forums member name in vain and post it on a public site. Thats got to be some kind of breach of rules.

I am merely demonstrating that such online petitions are pointless... <doh>

I assume when you sign petitions you use your 'real' name and not TPL forum names.... otherwise why sign it... <think>

As I said, your point had been demonstrated, so there was no need to take 2 forum members names as you did.

Everybody is fully aware of the possiblities of fraud, in all aspects of life. However, the vast majority of people choose not to because of the negative effect this has on society.

Your demonstrations have achieved nothing not already known. Rather they have shown that fraudulent posting is one of your traits.

Abusing a trust based system is not a matter for amusement. Especially seeing as you are doing it on other people's names who don't share your opinion. I'm sure you disapprove of people using multiple accounts on here.
