This decision goes against natural justice. We all saw Hamilton back off and let Kimi get past him after taking the lead illegally. What can the stewards have seen that we didn't?

The look on Ron's face when they told him their decision. That would be a 'Mastercard moment' for sure!

Personally i feel Lewis did NOT back off to let Kimi back through he lost traction while being off line and that gave Kimi the lead back before Lewis made his move.

Normally went a driver does take the position without playing fair it means he really does get out of the throttle and would not pass at the end of the straight after so called backing off so with the performance of a F1 car Lewis if he had would not have got anywhere near Kimi

Anyway i still feel the penalty is harsh but i can see why the stewards have taken this action.

well surely working off that theory then Kimi should have a penalty for using all that extra track to gain MASSIVE momentum on Hamilton later in the lap

He got past Hamilton at the next corner...

the inconsistency is a joke

It is clear why Lewis got the penalty. If he had followed Kimi round the corner, he would have been a couple of seconds behind. He accelerated across the corner and made up time over all. Think the stewards were completely right - Lewis is lucky the penalty wasn't bigger.

the stats will show that Lewis got an artificial advantage over all by shortening the track. Kimi, later on, did not shorten the track with his off. Feel sorry for Lewis, but think the stewards are right. Macca are wrong to appeal.

If you think that not agreeing with your opinion on this is trolling, go look at 606 - some of the crap people are saying about Hamilton is ridiculous!!

but he gained an advantage by using tarmac that WASN'T the track!

your comments are hardly suprising given your incredible hatred for Hamilton

as least some have had the decency to put aside who they support and call it correctly

sadly, not everyone has that ability

Of course, hatred of Ferrari might not be the reason that disagreeing with the penalty makes someone a troll?

what they saw was a Silver car overtake a Red car

and that was enough for them.....

As McLaren have lodged an appeal, nothing is final... yet...

...and i'm sure you'll join me John in hoping that justice prevails....

and Hamilton is given the race victory he won fairly...

either way, look at the bigger picture, damage has been done to the sport today
