Lewis did get an advantage tho and i can see why they are looking at the incident but it would be harsh to take the win from Lewis.

But this is the FIA

the same advantage that Kimi got by running wide off track and was able to take advantage of Lewis's tangle with Rosberg?

No word yet, but according to formula1.com, it is (as we all suspected) the incident at the chicane.

"The manoeuvre between Hamilton and Raikkonen at the chicane on lap 42 is currently under investigation by the race stewards."

Wouldn't it be ironic if you lot are all up to shoot the FIA for anti-McLaren bias if they're actually discussing if Kimi was being a bit naughty in shoving Hamilton across the kerb?

<roflmao>

In any case, it's the race stewards investgating, not the FIA......

let's just say we're steward's inquiry-wise shall we?...

<rolleyes>

If that happened, Kimi was penalized, Id wouldnt be happy either.

The complaint was lodged by Ferrari. So, they investigate the complaint.

Isn't overtaking off track also illegal?

and sometimes to avoid an accident, running off track is the best option, if a driver gains a place advantage by that manoeuvre, then he must immediately relinquish the position.

Something Lewis didn't do a few races back and got a stop-go penalty for. This time he (within a few hundred metres) allowed Kimi to re-take the lead.

The difference with Kimi running wide was that he didn't make up a place by doing so. Hamilton overtook Kimi while he was not on the track.

I said on another thread those Ferrari pair are like bambi on ice when it rains.

The Pit should have got both to come in for inters and no doubt cemented their 2nd and 3rd.
And why only 2nd and 3rd? Because I have no confidence in them gaining the gap and overtaking for first in just a couple of laps in the rain, even though they would have had inters against cars on normal tyres.

Car or them, they are crap in the rain so its not rocket science to get them in on better gripping tyres than the rest of the field.
Losing a couple of places is better than crashing off the track every time it rains.

Wake up pit crew you don't need Brawn to work that one out when your fans are screaming at you to take the proper action.

As for Lewis getting penalised, that's a crock and won't happen, the track was dreadful to drive on, and sh]t happens when its that bad.

Kimi didn't make a place but he did get an advantage bu flooring it around the outside of the run off area.
