About 15 minutes gone, Button has already stopped on track and is apparently finished for the morning.

Heidfeld and Bourdais have just started the first timed laps of the session - according to team radio directed at Fisichella earlier, rain is expected shortly.

Lap times appear to be hovering around the 2m mark, so we may not see too much running for the moment as the track is clearly damp - if it is expected to rain in qualifying this afternoon, teams will probably prefer to do their running if the track gets properly wet during this session.

Vettel has just set a lap 2.8 seconds slower than Bourdais, with the majority of the time being lost in the middle sector, so it appears that the track is getting wetter.

Bourdais leads the standings, his best lap is a 1'58"992, however Glock is on the move and appears to be going quicker. Maybe the track isn't as wet after all?

Piquet, Glock, Alonso and Heidfeld have all set times faster than Bourdais .... Vettel must have just been on a go-slow.

I guess the track is wet, but drying since it isn't already raining.

Vettel is flying! 1.1 seconds faster than Heidfeld after two sectors. At the moment everyone is running on intermediates, could switch to dry tyres if things continue to improve.

And Vettel goes fastest, a 1'55"192, 1.8 seconds faster than Heidfeld.

The Ferraris are the only cars not to have ventured onto the circuit at all this session, although six other cars have yet to set a timed lap.

More news on Button's exit - apparently his car just died as he was exiting the pit lane. More bad news for Honda. <rolleyes>

Nakajima and Glock are the first drivers to attempt to use the dry tyres. Glock has gone significantly faster in the middle sector and set a lap two-tenths slower than Vettel.

Glock sets a new fastest time on the dry tyres, a 1'52"514. Despite making a massive error in the first sector, Nakajima goes second with a 1'54"666, which shows that the dry tyres are now the ones to be on.

Just heard on Coulthard's radio that no more rain is expected for this session. Glock goes half a second faster than Rosberg. Raikkonen has not set any representative lap times yet, he's 3.1 seconds off the pace.
