Is it just me, or does it feel like there's something missing from the circuit? It seems to have no character.

I felt the same at first, though I have warmed to it more.

I think its cause of the barriers.

Not much overtaking in GP2. Ominous.

I must say I've not been overwhelmed by its appearance. I think because it looks the same around every inch of the circuit is part of it. So many concrete walls = ( Perhaps once the race day crowds fill the stands, more colour will add to its charm.

I think it'll make for an interesting race as the surface does seem to be changing every other lap and I wouldn't be surprised to see quite a few drivers losing positions and bits of their cars as they try to overtake.

did you hear them talking about the price of tickets?

no bloody wonder there's no atmosphere, no one can afford to be there!

^^ I couldn't agree more - IMO, the track's appearance looks a bit grey and drab, but I think it will produce a good race (perhaps the driving will add a bit of "colour")? <think>

The track is not so wonderful IMHO. OK, it's in need of a few years to wear in, so to speak, but the pitlane exit is diabolically narrow, it's basically flat and it seems to have no real character. At least the next new track has the alleged excitement of being a night race. 23 corners, but they're all either flatout kinks or very slow speed. All that catchfencing, while obviously necessary, makes the place look rather bland.

For next year they need to make the pitlane exit much wider.

Also if at all possible make the back-straight longer to allow overtaking.
