New track for everybody, so something of a clean slate. But I think we'll see the usual Ferrari/Mclaren front row, with BMW, Toyota, Red Bull and Renault taking up the next rows, although Alonso will most probably qualify on fumes to please the fans, like last time. Race favourites are Lewis and Massa, with Kimi a possibility, but given his form of late, compared with the other two, I'd put my money on one of them to take the flag (dunno what the weather is going to do, of course). Heikki's unlikely to do better than 4th, will have to fight Robert K for it and maybe Jarno T, Timo G and Nick H. DC and MW will also be in with a sniff, but not better than 6th. Seb Vettel will get to Q3 and finish better than P10 and the other 'newer' drivers should do relatively well, as the more experienced drivers won't have as much of an advantage. Williams, STR, Honda and Farce India will bring up the rear, as usual, although Bordais and Vettel should do the best out of these last 4 teams. |

Looking at the track, I think it will be a Lewis walk , with the Ferrari's leading Hekki.

According to Whitmarsh, downforce levels are similar to Hockenheim, so you may well be right. |

Hard to know until we at least see the first practice times. It's a new circuit; a lot of drivers could well be in contention. I'd probably tip Hamilton if I had to choose anyone, but right now I see it as being wide open and hopefully Massa can challenge for the victory. |

An unusual winner I predict. A safety car will decide the race, or at least shape the race. |

I think I'm siding with Rams on this one. The track and the night will cause a bit of a issue - I forsee someone like Nick or a Truli winning the race. |

It's not a night race.... |

Which is why it will cause an issue, if anyone turns up in the dark and finds that the race has already happened. Seriously, though, I reckon McLaren will have the edge at this circuit like at Hockenheim. Probably a Hamilton win, but the next few tracks are Ferrari favourites so he will need to hope that at least one of the Ferraris falters to put himself in a good position come the final couple of races. |

I have read that the track is very fast and has 25 corners, many of them kinks. It should be a long lap, if nothing else. Any estimates for lap times? |

For that they'll have to employ some go faster stripes. Either that or some go faster drivers. |
