Usually he refused to drive in the wet when the rains came down while he was in the lead.

Seemed to me like a call of "Please stop the race, I'm winning"

he wasn't winning at Silverstone in '88 or in Adeladie in '89

Prost's experience as an F1 driver and team owner makes him a good candidate, and he wasn't exactly immune to politics during his previous F1 years, but outside of F1 he hasn't accomplished much in the motorsports world. Although I wouldn't want to see Jean Toad take the presidency, at least he has experience in other motorsports besides F1.

Mosley want' exactly a big achieve in motorsport either. OK, he was one of the founding members of March but in that he was only really involved in the single seater world before he started his political career in the FIA.

True, but look of the mess Max made of sportscars and rallying. Mind you, he had experience of single-seaters and has ruined that too, so maybe it's just him.

The truth is that they FIA needs to get away from a F1-only President. They need to look a bit farther abroad to find the right guy or gal who can work with the associations and the sporting directors to get all racing moving forward.

Going with an F1-only guy will still cause problems for the other sports (thru neglect) and every one of them has their biases (primarily against someone else vs for someone).
