I've never really supported any team, at least not since Minardi left. It's quite difficult to form an emotional attachment to a team in the same way you can with a driver, in my opinion.

For me it's more to do with Bruce McLaren himself, than the team of today, so I guess in a way it is still more about a driver than team for me.

It's quite difficult to form an emotional attachment to a team in the same way you can with a driver, in my opinion.

I have always supported a select few drivers in my time watching and following F1...

I started with Lauda, then Mansell... the Schumacher... however when I followed Schumacher to Ferrari I cheered them on... he remained with that team racing 10 years so cheering on Ferrari became second nature... but they have never been My team, had Schumacher moved in say 2001 to McLaren I'd naturally have followed him there.


But I had outside of F1 always been a BMW Motorsport fan and when they entered F1 via Williams I finally had a team to support.
