"Technically, it's an advantage as far as we can see and where we are in the pit lane doesn't affect the races," team boss Ron Dennis said in Bahrain. "If there is an outcome, it will be positive not negative."

Maybe someone's complained that they've got an advantage being at the end <think>

Bah, there's no pleasing some people, is there?

If they're at the front, then people complain because they shouldn't be there.
If they're at the back, then people complain because they get an advantage.
If they're in the middle, then people complain because they're not being punished.

SORT IT OUT!

you lot are awful quick to assume someone has complained about Ron Dennis's bulls*it about his so called advantage... that as anyone knows was just a perdictable corporate press release to save face after being relegated back down the pit lane... <thumbsup>

there are many reasons as to why they have yo-yo'd... even if it was just someone wanting to wind up Max...

Apologies for my error.

Having said that, the article says that Ron Dennis said that "technically, it is an advantage" - so it is possible (but not necessarily true) that a rival team saw this and complained.

Anyway, there must have been a reason for their relocation.

McLaren probably deliberately brought the biggest motorhome possible to Monaco, so that it was impossible for them to fit in the tiny space afforded the lowest team in the pit lane.

McLaren, whose motorhome remains at the bottom of the paddock....

The article says that their motorhome has remained at the bottom of the pitlane... <think>

May be it is for convenience or may be the FIA agree that there is an advantage in being in the last pit. What ever it is, I wish they'd make up their minds. Just another example of FIA dithering.
