Vettel will hit with a 5 place grid penalty at Monaco because STR are introducing there new car, he final got a finish in Turkey having only completed 2 race with that gearbox Bourdais will not be penalised as he threw his car in the kitty litter Link |

Maybe STR need to put room in their budget to buy Vettel a break.... We need a poor bastard smiley. |

Aren't they being bloody stupid introducing a new car that will mean an automatic penalty? Alternatively, aren't the FIA being numbskulls by enforcing the rule in this manner, as it's not like teams will introduce a new chassis at each race to get around the ruling.... |

Just imagine that - a car purpose built for every track. Not that they don't massively tweek them for every racetrack anyway, of course.... lol |

In fairness, Vettel should take his share of the blame for his first corner crashes. However, these things balance themselves out over the course of the season, so he'll probably get a chance to show what he can do later on this year. |

He was a total passenger in Australia (Button's fault) and Spain (Sutil's fault). I can't remember Bahrain, to be totally honest. But it's poor planning on STR's part really, they could have introduced the new car when a penalty would not be applied - or at least on a circuit where qualifying isn't as important as it is at Monaco! |

Surely teams should be allowed to plead mitigating circumstances when stuff like this and having to pit under SC happen? |

Yes, for two of the incidents he was blameless. Bahrain I don't think was visible. |

Bahrain was Sutil's fault. On the main footage you can see Sutil plouging into Coulthard, who in turn hit Button who in turn hit Vettel! I don't think a race has gone by yet without a Force India ramming into someone at the first corner. |
