Who will be the suprise of Monaco?

In recent years we have seen certain teams and drivers particularly strong at Monaco. Fisichella last year, Raikkonen Webber and Coulthard the year before, and the Williams the year before that.

With no driver aids hopefully to give us a safety car or 2 this time and rain expected as well, could we see our first suprise winner since Button in 2006?

Alonso springs to mind although he thinks the Renault has poor traction. It's never been a good track for BMW or Sauber, so I'd be suprised if they could win. I think we could see Webber and Trulli mixing it at the top if any of the top teams struggle in qualifying.

Depends on the weather... <think>

Dry... Kibica could be a surprise maiden win

Wet... Alonso....

Very Wet... Button... now that would be a surprise

Dry, a BMW could surprise someone, maybe Red Bull. Wet, Alonso or even Vettel.

Fisi always runs well at Monaco. Last year his effort to get that Renault 4th was exceptional. I think he'll make it into Q2, personally, and Monaco is always a race of high attrition, so I back him to sneak into 7th or 8th.

Yeah, Fisi has a very good record at Monaco. I would tip him to do well, although points for Force India might be a bit optimistic.

Of the rest, this is probably the circuit where McLaren have the best chance of challenging Ferrari for victory. If he's lucky (which he hasn't been so far this season, to say the least), I would say Kovalainen has a good chance.

Webber always goes well in Monaco, after getting good points so far this year his "dander " will be up so he could spring a surprise .....

It would not surprise me to see a light Kubica on pole ...?

I can't wait to see how much oversteer Hamilton gets through the swimming pool section..

Trulli loves Monaco and has been quick this year.

Deffo see him starting very near the front of the grid.
