McLaren left Turkey with their confidence up on Monday despite being beaten for the fourth race in a row by champions Ferrari.

So long as they are happy with second that's fine by me <whistle>

<topic>

The amount Lewis had to hammer that Mclaren to get the enforced three stop to work i will not be surprised if it goes bang very soon.

Was it not its first race for that engine and Massa's final race for his engine?

it is hard to keep track... maybe they need to place a little graphic to indicate if it is a fresh engine or not... of course they would also need another to indicate which part of their 4 race cycle the gearbox is on

Now we are talking physics. The lighter a car takes less energy to move at the same speed as the heavier car, hence can travel faster without putting the mechanical parts under additional stress.

Also, the Merc engine does seem bullet proof.

They do that in the quallie run down with either E1 or E2 beside the driver's name.

I never noticed that...

so why not show it in the race coverage as more people will be watching then and supposedly most would like to know... <think>

Because that would be too sensible.

The graphics on F1 TV coverage isn't great to say the least

I remember them putting up a graphic of drivers relative positions on the track, only they only did it for one driver. <doh>

In what? The drivers' swim suit contest? I don't think Flav would lend him one of his thongs. <devil>

Totally agree mate <thumbsup>

I could even see Alonso scoring a top 3 position but not sure about a win.

Trulli could be well up the grid too with the Toyota performing better and his great one lap pace.

Very interesting weekend but Mclaren and Lewis will win in my view

I'm not saying Alonso will do bad, after all, he has a good Monaco record, but still think renault have a bit of catching up to do. I think he will still be mixing it with the BMWs behind Macca and ferrari.

I agree, I think Renault and Alonso have turned a small corner, I think they are able to fight a little better when the circumstances level the field somewhat, a wet Monaco would be awesome.

I think they organisers should massage the streets with baby oil inline with the glam image of the place and to provide us with some entertainment.

<roflmao> <roflmao>

God how great would a wet Monaco be <thumbsup> <thumbsup>

No traction control so Massa and a number of others would be out in the first lap.

Maybe Vettel would win <roflmao>

At Monaco you need a load of downforce. The Renault doesn't have that. I reckon it will be just about the same order.
