Yeah, a REAL racer would still have won at Spa 1998 even with three wheels! <sarcasm>

well i do recall mansell getting out and pushing his car across the line.

But he had the (unfair) advantage on having 4 wheels on the car.

but not all his marbles necessarily

Can not find the news story but the Ferrari team boss has also said that Massa cost them a Ferrari 1-2.

Not often do we hear this from a team boss <think>

I've not see any such article... <no>

As for how getting pole and first in the race can be classed as costing your team a 1-2 is beyond me... <doh>

I mean surely Kimi finishing third cost the team a 1-2 <think>

The implication is that becuase Massa didn't keep a car of similar performance that at the time also weighed about 40kg less and wason fresh tyres behind him, that Kimi lost sufficient time that he came third rather than second. Of course, had Kimi not allegedly damaged his wing in the collision with Heikki, he would have been a bit quicker. So in actual fact, Hekki cost Ferrari a 1-2....

<sarcasm>

Well, technically speaking, taking everything to the nth degree, that could be true. (would a <sarcasm> be too obvious?)

But seriously, there was nothing short of dirty driving that could have kept Lewis behind Massa. Massa merely did his job well and looked after his own race. Kimi's lack of pace was not Massa's responsibility and he shouldn't need to hold up Lewis just to help out kimi. After all, Kimi coming 3rd actually benefits Massa's championship chances.

JOHN,

this forum is about F1, not ME and yet there is a reference to me in this comment. If only the statement itself would elevate me to the status of working in the F1 industry then I would be content to acknowledge any comment, negative or positive.

As it is I am entitled as is everyone to their opinion and impartiality and for that not to become the subject of discussion, only the things that we are discussing.

Maybe we need a restaurant section on the forum, then we could throw food at each other.

This?

JESSIE?

I don't care either way what people say about me or to me but it's hardly the point of the discussion.
