I miss the younger MS racing in a Ferrari, but fair do's, Yesterday the new drivers came first and third and pushed Lewis from second to third in the WDC and also cemented their hold in the WCC.

I agree a younger MS (in Kimi's car) would have risked the pit time to change the front wing and then raced his way up and been all over the back of the Mclaren of Lewis.
Either Lewis would have been overtook or he would have had the most adrenalin pumping laps of his life keeping MS at bay.............may have even binned it trying to keep MS at bay.

BUT, MS was a legend, and its only now some realise that.

Alonso IMO would not be good for Ferrari he is too much the Diva when things don't go his way and that's not the Ferrari way, not when MS had to deal season after season of just above average car.

On the other hand listening to ITV Lewis was pulling out Senna'ish lap times, even though he had a lighter car............Neither Senna or MS would have caught him up <tumbleweed> <doh> <sarcasm>

A younger Shumi probably would have been on pole, and would have won by 25 seconds. <thumbsup>

I think Ferrari's drivers are catching a bit more crap this year for some reason. Cannot figure out why. After a bad first race they have won 4 races in a row, Kimi has 4 podiums w/ two wins, and Massa 3 podiums and 2 wins, 1-2 in the WDC standings and a pretty good lead in the WCC.

I find it a little funny some of the people bashing them here are the same ones who don't want a red wash.

One team dominating (regardless of which team) is a white wash... are we now to assign different colours to each team... a chrome wash or a blue wash <doh>

Let's just say that they are painting the season red, you can't go wrong with that metaphor, and if Kimi wins again I guess he'll go back to his home town, visit his favourite (lap dancing) bar and paint that red too.

Kimi has his off days, but the important thing about him is that he still picks up podiums.

Massa's defence of position I thought was a bit tame, but that's Massa. He'll never be a champion.

He still won the race, he got the same points. If he had fought Lewis and been taken out people would be calling him a first class tit.

He may never be champion, but most drivers in F1 wont. He won some races, is probably making several million a year to drive a Ferrari. Wish I was that tame.

To be fair, I thought Massa did a good job. If anyone underperformed, it was Kimi.

Rob pretty much summed my views on this argument. Frankly, I think it's just an attempt to pick a flaw in Massa's performance last weekend where really there was none. No doubt, he would have known Lewis was 3-stopping and, if anything, it was a shrewd move to let him through, because without doing so Raikkonen his nearest challenger would have scored 2 more points.

I'd say he absolutely did the right thing.

You would have to be seriously dozy to take yourself out when just forcing someone to take the outside line...oh sorry, what am I talking about. This is Massa!

He would have looked incredibly dozy as well if the lack of defending the position meant Hamilton emrged in front after the final stop. If you can prevent someone passing without damaging your laptimes, then it is worth it.

Massa must have incredibly low standards if that race was flawless. Still, I guess I should lay off him. Let's see how many points he gets from the next 3 races.

Yeah, if he gets another 28 points it might be time to rethink....

Massa DIDN'T know Hamilton was 3 stopping, was un-unerved by his sudden charge and had to be reassured that Hamilton wasn't going to affect his race.

Massa was rattled by charging Hamilton

From the outside, Felipe Massa appeared to be serene and unruffled throughout the Turkish GP as he secured victory. In reality, it would seem as if the young Brazilian was rattled by the unexpected challenge of Lewis Hamilton.

On a surprise three-stop strategy, the Englishman kept pace with Massa from start to finish, and even overtook the Ferrari around the half-way stage of the race. While one thought was that Massa had allowed Hamilton to pass him without much of a confrontation because he realised that his rival was on a different, less threatening strategy, the Brazilian was in fact caught entirely unawares by the speed of the McLaren.

"We had to keep him calm by telling him that Hamilton was three-stopping and the race would come back to him if he kept his head," Rob Smedley, Massa's race engineer, revealed to ITV.

There there the nasty boy won't spoil your race <roflmao>
