From http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/67043 Would be interesting to see Danica in F1. Hopefully, though, she'd be able to give it a serious go rather than being used as a PR boost for whichever team she ended up with. |

I don't think she's really good enough to race in F1, in spite of that victory. How long has she been in the US now? Bearing in mind that Bourdais was utterly dominant over there and finds himself in just a Toro Rosso, I'd be inclined to think that any move for Patrick would be a PR stunt to get a woman in F1 and not because she was genuinely being seen as a prospect. |

I agree Saints. Danica is good and been competitive in the IRL, but she's just not good enough for F1. |

A number of people (JV eg) have difficulty making the transition from America to F1, regardless of sex. but then I'm biased....... ![]() |

Are you saying if Danica wants to get to F1 she needs to have more sex? If so is that a job I can apply for? |

So winning the WDC in your second season in F1 counts as "having difficulty?" How many titles would one have to win to not be seen as having difficulty? |

Some would say that he only won because of the car |

Making him different from how many champions in at least the last 15 years? ![]() The only thing JV ever had difficulty with in his F1 career was attracting the respect he deserves. For the first bit of his career, at least. After that it went a bit downhill. |

I would rephrase that to: "The only things JV ever had difficulty with in his F1 career was not pissing away any lingering respect gained from his fairly gifted first couple of seasons, keeping his flapping canuck mouth shut and leveraging some humility into his tiny over-hairstyled head. Apart from his last half-season at BMW of course. |

Well, it's faster than walking. Shall we pretend that Mansell, Senna, Prost, Schumacher and co only won because of the car? There was another identical car on the track, l seem to recall..... |

After half the field in front had retired or been shafted by the safety car, but Bourdais has been better in the last couple of races. JV did a reasonable job at BAR until 2003. |

The point is that he was running quick enough to be holding that place rather than going backwards at a rate of knots..... Anyway, the 'people fell off' is apaprently not a valid reason that Button's win was a fluke...

He wasn't running quick enough to be fourth, the safety cars came at the right time for him to close the gaps. That's how he ended up ahead of Kovalainen who was massively quicker than him, as was Alonso. |
