Then there's something wrong with you. McLaren suspected Ferrari were using a device that broke the rules. Fair enough, the legality of said device was questioned, several teams were warned about their floors, and the FIA test was modified. ie, Ferrari's floor broke the rules. I have no issue with one team protesting another, however, in this case, McLaren's protest was made with use of inside information from the Ferrari team, ie the data traffic from Stepney and a certain 700-odd page document. This also breaks the rules. So: Ferrari were guilty of using a floor design that broke the rules, but the way in which McLaren gained the information to 'shop' Ferrari broke the rules as well. Therefore Ferrari were guilty of using an illegal design, and McLaren were guilty of espionage. The excuse 'but the others were doing something wrong' is not an excuse to do something wrong to prove it. Is this simple enough? |

When Ron said that he didn't know about it... he only found out the full extent when Alonso told him. |

Allegedly. As CEO, he's responsible for the actions of all his employees, and if he really didn't then there's something quite wrong with the management structure at McLaren. |

Ron is responsible, but his managers may have kept it hid from him for plausible denial reasons. |

I'd accept being unaware if this was about some other team principal. But, Ron Dennis, who by his own admission and that of others, is so deeply involved in the tiniest details regarding McLaren, being unaware, for any length of time, is a bit difficult to believe. Ok, he may have been in the dark initially, but to be still unaware even after they sent the letter to the FIA about the floors ........ seriously? ![]() I don't think Ron being economical with the truth at the hearing was wrong, he was doing right by his team, sure. But don't expect anyone to believe that he has never been dishonest about anything. |

I get your point but there's a big difference between seeing MS park his car at Monaco on everyone elses flying lap and accusing somebody of something to which the only link might be that they are 'getting' their own back. A supposition by almost everyone without a single shred of evidence. If it's PROVEN that he did it, fine, but don't condemn him just because you choose to. You might as well start accusing any one of anything just becuase it suits you. Then we're back in the medieval era. |

Assuming that the FIA members are having similar rows about Ron Dennis's honesty then it's mission accomplished. Distraction. Max is not suing for libel because he's say it would be too complicated and lengthy. Why is this not being examined to the same degree? This means that even if Max wins his court case the Nazi allegations will stand intact. So instead of wondering whether Ron Dennis sold him to the NOTW which is frankly irrelevant wonder why the Max is not trying to get the NOTW Nazi allegations overturned. |

I guess he feels that if members of the British Royal family can cavort in Nazi dress and not be hounded from public life, it would be hypocritical of the lovely British public to care about what he does... |
