Ron Dennis has denied having any involvement in the Max Moseley scandal. He also denied the team had any confidential Ferrari data, didn't he....

<roflmao>

Seems like too much of a coinkydink to me, but you never know.... <think>

Ron is obviously the prime suspect - but that doesn't automatically make him guilty.

Nor has he been demonstrated to have lied, since to lie someone has to know that what they are saying is untrue. Ron may not have known what was going on around him, which would make him naive and idealistic, but not dishonest. If you have evidence to suggest otherwise, provide it.

If he was really involved, he'd have denied it much quicker. Remember how quick McLaren were to deny that Lewis had pushed the kill switch in Brazil? <rolleyes>

I agree with FlutterBy. McLaren was guilty last year of spying and Ron, as the principle, is responsible for the actions of his team whether or not he knows about them; but that doesn't make him a liar.

As in this, I doubt Ron would be so stupid as to involve himself with something like a sting on Max but that doesn't mean that others involved, or people who want to hit back at Max for going after McLaren, didn't do this.

Both Ron and Novak can be telling the truth - McLaren didn't do it, Ron knows nothing about it but the people who did do it did it because of last year's scandal.

I cannot imagine Ron would have had anything to do with this. Even considering the worst case scenario for Ron, where he somehow planned the videoing, Max is still the perverted devil that went to the prostitutes in the first place.

I think Ron is innocent in this, although I won't blame him for having a really good laugh

is it Max as the priest to Ron's King Henry or vice versa?

Perhaps Max will be a priest instead of a nazi in his next session...

Ron may not have known what was going on around him, which would make him naive and idealistic, but not dishonest. If you have evidence to suggest otherwise, provide it.

This is Ron Dennis we are talking about... <roflmao>

The evidence FB is there for all who care to open their eyes... the evidence is the last 28 years... nothing, and I mean absolutely nothing goes on at McLaren that Ron is not party to... as he has demonstrated time and time and time again.

I have a nephew who as part of his apprenticeship visited the McLaren HQ, during a break he said he was with two other lads in a corridor outside where they where training which overlooked the garage... Ron Dennis passing, stopped asked why they where there, they naturally explain they had stepped out in the break... he took their names, addresses and the names of the companies they worked for, and then walked off... not asking them to return to the training room... He just needed to have that information...

Hell, if the cleaner uses the wrong floor polish he knows about it <doh>

Please don't get me wrong, when Ron Dennis lied to the FIA it was not malicious it was just business... (I don't believe for one moment that he is the only team principle who bends the truth or does not confess something unless specifically asked about it...)

but it was calculated and intentional on Rons part and a gamble which ultimately back fired... who knows he probably lied so much to the FIA over the years that he truly was not expecting to get caught out this time... <think>

So in conclusion...

Yes he has lied...
No it was not malicious...
and joking aside No he is not involved in the MM witch hunt he is just a beneficiary <thumbsup>

That won't do, John. Bear in mind that we're talking about stuff his employees would have wanted to keep from their boss. Witness his reaction to Alonso's showing him the incriminating emails.

And for you to say 'who knows he probably lied so much to the FIA over the years' is pure speculation - and just possibly libellous.

Hell most employees have dirty little secrate they don't want there boss to know about I know I have in the past.

There is a college in Bradfod where the retaining wall in front of the entrance in not exactly in the right place and was supposted to be straight. <blush>

If they had found out at the time they would have had it jacked out and done again, but I got a way with it so no harm done.

With an organisation the size of Mclaren it would be impossible to moniter whatevery one was up to all the time. If an employee really want something to remain private and hidden they will go to great length to make it so look at Nick Leeson and how long he was hidding things. Although it did blow up in his face rather spectacularly
