YEAH!!! It's that time again, boys and girls. Sportscars are raring to go and we look to have a great set of racing coming our way.

Peugot has brought their diesel to the series to challenge Audi and prepare for Le Mans.

At the end of the final testing run, the 908's are topping the timesheets almost a full second over the Audi with Acura's LMP2 in between. Is this a sign of things to come or is it just testing numbers?
The official practice runs start today (Wednesday) so we'll have to wait and see but I'm looking forward to the Audi's being given a hard race.

The Audi #1 car took the pole well ahead of both the Peugeot and the Audit #2 car.
Although the Acura P2 looked good early, both of the Porsche P2's qualified ahead of them.
The non-diesel P1's are well back (behind the P2 cars) which doesn't bode well for them here or at Le Mans.

In the GT1, the Corvettes qualified better than the Astons but that tends to mean little here. I predict a fight lasting all 12 hours.
And in the GT2, Mika Salo's has his Ferrari in the head of that group with Ferrari taking 3 of the best 4 starting spots (Bergmeister's Porsche 911 breaks the group)

Here's looking forward to a great 12 hours on Saturday. :)
