I could be worse, you could be the president of a country that is openning the highest bridge in the would, congradulate the local construction company that built it congradulate the local planers that planned it, congradulate the loacal authorities that approved it, but forget the British architect/engineer that designed it. And who and where am I talking about, you guessed it, Jaques Chiraque and France. <doh>

Any if you want to see dodgy (but impressive) landmarks, there is this huge rusty statue next to the A1 at Gateshead. They could have at least galvanised or painted it.

That's logic for you - replace an icon of British imperialism

In fairness it was hardly a replacement... it just occupied the same site.

The Pillar was blown up in 1966 (by the IRA) and the Poker was erected in 2003.

I am pleased to announce that Coffee has finally realised what a great catch I am and 'popped the question' yesterday....

...with the mini Ford's on hand to make sure he did the job correctly... <roflmao>

So we are now busy planning the 1st Pit Lane Wedding :D :D
