I am pleased to announce that Coffee has finally realised what a great catch I am and 'popped the question' yesterday....

...with the mini Ford's on hand to make sure he did the job correctly... <roflmao>

So we are now busy planning the 1st Pit Lane Wedding :D :D

I might have technically beaten you to it, except that my other half isn't a member, and we haven't really spoken about the idea much since I called her bluff when she phoned me on Feb 29th when I was in Dublin.....

Congrats btw.

<pissed>

Who do I commiserate first?

Yup, I had to buy a hat to keep my hair from being blown into my face. Still, I wouldn't have wanted to bring any nice weather with me and waste it on you lot...

:P

Talking of waste, the 'pole in the hole'.. not one native I spoke to didn't hate it... lol

It's very impressive, but quite how it celebrates a millennium is anyone's guess. Still, the best bit was of course having a pint in the Gravity Bar.

Anything like that would be an awful long time in the future. Besides, as I mentioned, it's not exactly anything official yet - I've always been so anti she's still thinking I'm take the p1ss!

Actually, when I first saw the title to this thread, I though the Pitlane gardener had been neglecting his duties again.

That's logic for you - replace an icon of British imperialism with a bizarre structure of no significant meaning .... designed by a British architect. <doh>
