Fujitsu V8 Supercar series driver Ashley Cooper has died after crashing in saturday's race in Adelaide. He suffered severe brain injurys and never regained consciousness.

Ashley Cooper was twenty seven years old and leaves behind two young children.

Ah shit, that sucks!

I posted an health update on him yesterday but I feared this would happen

I saw the crash and it a hard smack on the wall on the drivers side that that’s what did it

Great shame for V8 supercars and devastating for his family

I thought the V8 Supercars were RHD.

Looking at the video, the crash happened on the fastest corner of the circuit so he would have been doing in excess of 150MPH so he stood no chance, no matter what side of the car he was on.
