Dear Jim,
I'm concerned that people think I am an alcoholic.
Rob has offered me a Guinness if my prediction for the top four in the F1 world drivers' championship is correct, and Petra Lead has bet me a beer that Ross Brawn will succeed at Honda with minimal corporate interference.
Why is everyone offering me booze? Do I really act like an alcoholic?
Yours sincerely, Pissed, Worcestershire.

Dear Jim,
according to our account manager at Dell, Windows XP is end of life as at 30th June this year. Vista is possibly going to be a huge pain in the arse to integrate with an office of XP machines, but then possibly not. Before some smart-arse mentions Linux this is a non-starter in terms of compatibility with anything we run.
Should I go and bulk buy a ton of XP Pro licences or just downgrade each Vista one I come across for ever more?
Norbert (worried)
it's no good asking non-IT people about IT
we all know that IT departments don't give out their knowledge to people in fear of them being able to use a computer better than them
whatever i do on a PC, the IT man always has a better way of doing it
like i will click from window to window by using the mouse to click on the tabs at the bottom of the screen
but not the IT man! oh know, he turned up at used alt+tab to go from window to window, and i knew he was doing it on purpose to annoy me
then he uses ctrl+w to shut down internet browers and when i'm least expecting it he'll access my PC remotely and move my cursor arrow!! just because he can!
never under estimate the one with the spots and thick glasses
he will be reading your emails and disabling your interner access before you know it

Dear Andy,
Being offered beer is always a good thing
If you're overwhelmed, then JIM will gladly share the beer with you, or even take it off your hands, if you ask more than once. So will I

Thank you all. it's really great to have friends like you guys. i have spoken to the ex. A plan has been worked out.. it sounds sketchy even to me, but i am willing to give her one more chance as i love her so much. we will get together if i move there. we are staying single until then. i plan to save for a year and move there. she says she will break up with any guy if she is with one, when i get there.. it sounds sketchy, but ive informed her this is her last chance as she still loves me and still loves me. the not caring about me being alive or dead... said while in a bad mood.. i know its no excuse but it explains a lot.. ive given her her last chance. from what i have said, would you have given her a chance?
To me mate i have to be honest and say walk away but i am sure you know this yourself deep down. She is playing with your mind mate and you will only get worse and more upset. I am sorry but i do not feel she is a very nice person. If she knows that you were thinking about taking your life surely this would have sank into her and she would have not continued to mess you about. Why would she see someone else then finish it once you turned up???? If you love someone you do not see anyone else if there is a chance. Mate i am sorry but you really need to distance yourself from your ex and live your life the way you should. Just remember when you were at school. I bet you had a few girlfriends and some finished it. At the time you think i can not move on but you do and you met your now ex. You will move on again mate but please take care and think about yourself as your ex is not. Sorry to be so blunt but i needed this a few years back and i am alot happier now
in high school, i had no girlfriends, only friends that were girls.. i loved one of them.. i said something about it. was told that she didnt feel the same way.. next day she sends a risque picture for me to send on to someone else..
also. i was in love with a girl a bit earlier on.. turns out, when i loved her, she had a thing for me, but now we are good friends and nothing happened and never will
my 'ex' is my first and only girlfriend..

To be honest, I've gone from being scared of being single, when we first broke up, to not caring if and when I get another girlfriend. Of course, if I meet someone I want to go out with, I'll be delighted, but, until then, I'm just enjoying my freedom.

Bah! That's what everyone says. And I for one don't subscribe to that theory.
Anyway, being single for 25 1/2 years really sucks.
