http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/7178397.stm But let me guess, they will throw a strop and threaten to sue if any documentary raises the point that they are exceptionally bad parents? |

So are they or aren't they making a film? First they deny it, then, in the next sentence, they admit that they are talking to a production company about making a documentary, which, last time I checked, was a form of film. |

Of course, if your daughter is missing and you are upset about it, you agree the best course of action is to make a documentary about it. Just so everyone is aware. WE ARE BLOODY AWARE! Sorry but this case is not more important than other cases where a child, or anyone for that matter, has disappeared. I think it is ridiculous that the media have dragged this on for as long as they have. She's gone. The publicity has changed nothing. If she was going to be found, she would have been found by now. |

I agree that they stand a better chance of getting her back if they push publicity, but it is wrong for them to profit from it. Also, they are still prime suspects, so making a documentary based on them might be inappropirate and prejudice the legal process, i.e. they could use the documentary to sway public opinion behind their innocence when the might really be guilty. |

No so, time passing reduces the chances sure, but there are cases of reunited children/parents after many years... rare but not impossible. Speaking as a parent I would never give up the search and if the press/media where still willing to assist I would use them, no question. I agree that it is the implication of profit that sits uneasy with most people... |
