Congratulations to Casey Stoner on taking the world championship. He had riden superbly this year and taking the title with two races to go is impressive

Am I right in thinking that he has matched Rossi in taking the title in only his second full MotoGP season?

Didn't see todays race live but will catch up later.

Well done to Casey, a great performance and a much-deserved title!

Well done Casey <clap> <clap> Great job.

And well done Ducati, first time the title has not gone to a Japanese company since 1974 <yahoo> <clap> Phil Read on the MV Augusta for the curious.

A shout out to Bridgestone too, for what might be their first and only title.... <clap>

He's done an excellent job this season and thoroughly deserves to win the championship. And he's so young that he can only get better as well, you would think!

Congratulations to Casey Stoner <clap> <clap> <clap>
I must confess, I was one who, at the beginning of the season, thought he won't win because of his tendency to keep falling off. The way he's ridden this season has been nothing short of terrific.
He's had pressure, but he's just stayed focused and and done the job, battled when he's had to and won imperiously at other times, excellent <bow>
It's an absolute pleasure to see Ducati win. They've deserved their success, perhaps even more so than Stoner, imo. <yahoo>
Even in losing for the second year in a row, Rossi has once again shown that he is still a formidable rider and will continue to remain in contention <thumbsup>

Well done Casey but this is why F1 is better with only one tyre manufacture.

this is for all the "naysayers"....

if tyres have been such a dominant factor in 2007, then why is stoner so far ahead in the standings?
where are all the other bridgestone runners? where are all the other bridgestone ducati riders?
yes, tyres have influenced races, but they have always done so... <doh>

credit where its due....ducati built an awesome bike and shod it with good rubber,

BUT! you still have to make it go quick..and thats what stoner has done better than anybody else this year....

There were three other bikes with more or less exactly what Stoner had...
